Why the list of the most played games?
Everyone loves playing games and trying new ones from time to time. However, with millions of games out there to try, one could easily spend hundreds of hours looking for an interesting game to play. So, we decided to help you out with the choice, and we’ve prepared our list for the most played games of all times. Of course, there are many other great games that couldn’t make the list but we wanted to keep this article short…And didn’t want to give you too many titles to confuse you. Please, keep in mind that the listed games have different PC requirements and not all of the mobile games are free.
So let’s get started and see our choices for the most played games.
Top 10 most played games (PC)
-
World of Warcraft
Image source: SobControllers World of Warcraft is our first choice for MMORPG strategy game (massively multiplayer online role-playing game) and with over 100 million opened accounts, we are sure we are not alone. In World of Warcraft you create an avatar by choosing from a variety of different races and classes and start developing its abilities, skills, and professions by exploring, questing and battling in the fantasy world of Azeroth.
-
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Image source: Rob Obsidian The Witcher 3: Wild hunt is an action RPG, played in the open world with a 3-rd person perspective as the player assumes control of Geralt of Rivia – a monster hunter, also known as a witcher. The game plot is fascinating, with a focus on narratives and the storyline reminds us of Game of Thrones. The Witcher’s landscape is one of the most realistic and authentic-feeling open worlds we have ever played.
-
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
Image source: Brendan Riley Counter-Strike: Global offensive is our favorite FPS (first person shooter) game because it has the most addicting gameplay, not the best graphics though. In essence, there are 2 opposite teams Terrorists and Counter Terrorist competing to achieve their object – to secure a location and plant a bomb (terrorists), or to defuse the bomb (Counter-terrorists). Playing Counter-Strike does require precise skills and thinking to execute your strategy, but once you master it the feeling is so satisfying that you just can’t stop playing.
-
Grand Theft Auto V
Image source: Video game Photography GTA 5 for sure is a game that gives us the freedom to do whatever we feel like doing at the very moment (mainly that kind of things that we are forbidden in the real life)- drive recklessly, give a good beating to random people, swim, or hijack a plane. The plot is intriguing and with the ability to switch between the 3 main characters you can accomplish different missions as you want. Definitely a game we cannot stop playing.
-
Minecraft
Image source: Steven Saus Minecraft is the game which can unleash our creativity and bring it to new heights. We have spent hundreds of hours gathering the necessary materials and chipping away blocks just to materialize our new idea. Our character constantly evolves into whatever we want, so we can forge our own destiny and tell our own stories. The core gameplay revolves around breaking and placing blocks. Sounds simple, believe it or not, there are virtually endless opportunities how to play and what to do. If you enjoy playing 3D open world games we suggest you check out the top 7 Kogama games.
-
Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood (2010)
Image source: marvelousRoland Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood’s story is taking place in Renaissance Rome and the gameplay revolves around the rivalry of 2 ancient societies – Assassins and Knights Templar. The player assumes control of Desmond who lives in the present day but can experience the memories of his ancestor – Ezio using the animus (the name of a special device), who is trying to take down Cesare. We love playing it.
-
World of Tanks
Image source: Tatiana T Going back to the mid-20th century and controlling a tank of our choice (light, medium, heavy or a tank destroyer) is so satisfying, but what’s, even more, is to destroy all others enemy vehicles, controlled by other players (yes, it is a multiplayer massive online game).
-
Overwatch
Image source: tofoli.douglas Do you imagine being a hero? Sometimes we do and there is no better way to express our fantasies than playing Overwatch. It is a team-based first-person shooter and the player can choose from 21 characters (heroes) unlocked right from the start, divided into 4 categories – offense, defense, tank, and support. So it is up to you to decide which role fits you the best and enjoy the battle.
-
League of Legends
Image source: mrwynd What we like in League of Legends is its amazing variety of champions, rewarding progression system, and fast-paced gameplay, combined with the free-to-play approach and endless strategies to deploy. It’s 5-on-5 matches are something you cannot miss and play on well-designed and colorful maps is always great.
-
Diablo III

If you like killing all kind of things – alive, dead or inanimate and taking what they drop so as to be able to kill even more and bigger things Diablo is an awesome game. We like playing with all of the different character classes – Barbarian, Demon Hunter, Monk, Necromancer, Witch Doctor, Wizard, Crusader, while trying to defeat the ultimate evil – Diablo.
